Work

So, I have been looking for a job to make enough money to do a few things, we will get to those things later. Job first, I have been looking for about 2 weeks with no luck. Apparently being 8 credits short (2 classes) is still not enough to get a job as an engineer anywhere even as an intern. So now I will probably end up doing some random job for the next six months that will be incredibly boring and dull. Oh well more time to think of things to work on when I do get an engineering job and can actually do something important with my life. Anyways I have recently gotten engaged to a woman I love with everything I got, even if she does drive me crazy at times. Anyways I think getting a job is important, because if your not working and you are capable of doing so you are a bum. I hate being out of work, I don't mind working mind numbingly boring jobs. I just wish I would catch a break for once and get something decent. Moving on I think I owe another video so without further ado part 2 in the Sagan Series.

Timelines

So an interesting thought is that there are an infinite amount of universes. All nearly identical, except that in each one there is a single difference from another. Basically every time someone makes a choice, soda or juice, a new universe comes to existence. One where you had soda, the other where you had juice. So ideally if I could find the universe where I made all the perfect decisions. Then I simply swap places and live in an awesome life. If only, right? Anyways I think that being complete with this term at school it is only appropriate to start looking at another video series, this one about the great man of science, Carl Sagan.

Earthrise

That famous photo from Christmas Eve, 1968 has inspired so many and will continue to do so many decades from now. To see the Earth rise like we would see the moon or the sun, it's intense. Knowing that the Earth is just a small speck of what is this universe.

Something so simple as being able to just see Earth, not the continents, not the countries, but the simple planet. It seems that we would have realized that it was silly to continue fighting our wars, that we would be able to put aside our differences and look towards the stars. After all with a world where mankind works together and pools their resources the amount of scientific knowledge that we would gain would be tremendous. I can only hope that in my lifetime I will see mankind set aside its differences and look to the future. To end this post here is part two of Neil DeGrasse Tyson, We Stopped Dreaming.

Risen Again

Okay, so I am defiantly putting this as my homepage on this computer. So those laptop issues finally took their toll about six months ago and now I have a clunker desktop from when I was 15 and it ran Windows 95, have running XP currently. So that donate button is super helpful at this point, to help me get a laptop to do all sorts of awesome stuff. So let's recap where I am at, almost done with school, have 2 QC books, saw tons of great movies, read a bunch of great books, and have a lot of things to talk about. So we will start with a set of books I picked up, The Foundation Series. It's a pretty interesting bit of science fiction that postulates what would happen if a science is born that predicts what humans as a whole will do. Not individuals but rather as a group how we would behave and if that science was used to save us in our future, by setting up the "Foundations" to guarantee a reserve of scientific knowledge. Overall I give the whole series 9/10, written by Issac Asimov. To leave us off I will be posting the first in an ongoing series featuring Dr. Neil DeGrasse, We Stopped Dreaming.

Laptop

So once again I'm back. My laptop broke and I became computerless for awhile, well except for this old desktop that could barely get on the web let alone anything I wanted to do. I think that when you have only one issue with your laptop over four years you begin to despise that one aspect of computers. For me it is the dreaded video card. First it was a faulty batch of cards, as in every single card they ever made was faulty and wouldn't work after awhile, it just broke down. Next it was a card that worked, but was half the awesomeness of the old one, but hey it worked. Then one of those breaks, because well it's old and I find out there are no more around. Well fan-freakin-tastic. Now we are on the latest one which works, but needed to be converted into my laptop and required me to half the amount of RAM in my laptop. Once again though it's all working and that is what is important.

Next to apparently half my readers which are German, "Guten Nacht, spreche ich Deutsch, aber ist es nicht so gut." I'm going to start putting in at least one German sentence a post from now on, just for you guys! Anyways hopefully I can get back to posting, because I have more to talk about once again. Oh boy aren't you excited. Today I'm leaving you a QC comic instead of my normal XKCD ones. Special isn't it, mostly because I love QC. Also it has no bearing on anything said above.

Training

So training is very important and everyone needs some eventually, but sometimes it just sucks when you get thrown into something you can't handle and it's expected that you can. This is why I hate every job I've pretty much ever had, minus one summer where i got paid to answer phones for some government program and no one ever called. Eleven dollars an hour to sit and read books thank you very much. Other times it's like today where I'm thrown into doing something beyond my level and people get upset when I can't do it. Seriously you don't give someone the toughest job in their first time flying solo. It's crazy to expect that. I really wish training was more like this below.

P.S. The only reason I work these terrible jobs is to pay for school. So please for the love of god and my sanity please donate so I can stop this terrible nightmare. It's evil and I'm going to end up going psychotic.

Summer Blues

So I have been in vain looking for any kind of work, I mean I've looked everywhere. Even McDonalds wouldn't hire me. So I'm not doing a whole lot this summer, except playing video games, reading books, and hanging with friends. So tomorrow I'm going to get to working out more at the gym, get in shape again. Four years of being out of shape is four too many. Also I might as well get started on my summer classes, I'm taking two online at your own pace classes. Quantitative Analysis which is pretty much a simple chemistry lab and a Native American Agriculture class. The later is for my bacc. core. Also I start working with a group on finishing up on mission planning for our fall HvZ game. Let's see what else, oh I'm putting together the National HvZ minecraft sever map which will go live after the 1.7 update. That's it for today, these post will be more frequent to make sure I keep on task and continue to rant and talk here while no one is listening.
